Can we modify a previously released "Permissive License" version of BrowserBox or its precursors to meet modern standards?

Modifying older, permissively licensed versions is strongly discouraged and unsupported. Such actions risk infringing on intellectual property rights, as updates may inadvertently incorporate enhancements exclusive to our current paid licenses. Compliance with U.S. IP laws is critical, regardless of development location, based on usage and organizational residency. We advise procuring a current license for legal and operational assurance.
